GPs, First 5, AiTs, Nurses, and sexual health nurses.
- Population issues
- Contraception: Including new concepts and new methods. How to bridge different contraceptive methods
- Emergency contraception: How and what should be prescribed
- LARCs: new methods that are available as well as how to prescribe and deal with common side effects
- Female sterilisation, vasectomy, interacting diseases, adolescents, diagnosis of menopause
What the day includes:
The educational session will be a four hour session from 13:30 covering the practical management of contraception in primary care.
Following this lecture we will be hosting a social and networking event, that will take place in the State rooms at the RCGP headquarters. Refreshments and nibbles will be provided. You are welcome to attend our social event, if you like. There will be no further cost for this event.
