Ivel Medical Centre are seeking to bring in a Salaried GP to join our strong and stable existing team. Please read on to discover more about our superb surgery based at Chestnut Avenue, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, SG18 0RA.

We are a training practice so there would be opportunity to get involved in teaching and training future GPs. The five Partners and Salaried GP’s are well supported by a highly trained and comprehensive team of clinical and clerical support staff.

Key Duties

  • 4-8 sessions a week – but we are able to offer flexible working.
  • Purpose built practice building with onsite parking
  • Practice population circa 14,000 and growing
  • Friendly, cohesive and multi-disciplinary existing team
  • Training practice
  • Dispensing Practice to circa 1000 patients
  • Highly trained clinical support team including Practice Nurses, ANP’s, Emergency Care Practitioners and HCAs
  • Business Manager & Reception Supervisor, Medical Secretaries, team of administrators and Receptionists
  • Circa 15 face to face consultations per session plus calls – outside of Covid restrictions
  • Maximum of 2 visits a day but visits generally carried out by our Paramedics
  • Flexible working arrangements in terms of session times
  • Practice uses SystmOne, Electronic Prescribing, Ardens and AccuRx
  • High QOF score and Good CQC report

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Registered GP with the GMC, possess the right to work in the UK, included on NHS performers list
