Bassett Road Surgery

Bassett Road Surgery based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire is hiring!

Due to local population growth, we seek an additional Salaried GP(s) to join our permanent team from the summer of 2022. The successful candidate(s) will work up to 4-8 sessions per week and participate in our duty doctor system, as well as offering some extended hours shifts.

The Surgery

  • Has a friendly and collaborative culture with daily informal meetings for clinical discussion and mutual support
  • Has 19,000 patients
  • Has a strong ethos of both undergraduate and postgraduate training and education with 5 GP trainers; there will be opportunities to participate in this should the candidate(s) wish to do so
  • Is part-dispensing
  • Uses SystmOne
  • Achieves high QoF scores
  • Has a dedicated vulnerable patient service run by a Complex Needs Matron
  • Has an active Patient Participation Group
  • Are part of the LB PCN based locally and whose focus is on health promotion and supporting patients with non-medical problems, to improve primary care access
