GPC/BMA

The General Practitioners Committee

The General Practitioners Committee (GPC) is the only body that serves as a national voice for general practitioners. The role of the GPC is to represent the profession and regardless of BMA membership, it addresses all issues impacting NHS GPs.

Further information about GPC UK and how they represent GPs can be found via the BMA’s website – BMA General Practitioners Committee UK.

The British Medical Association

For doctors working in the UK, the British Medical Association (BMA) operates as both a professional body and trade union. The BMA represents doctors both collectively and individually by supporting you at work and negotiating your rights & pay.

The BMA website provides a wealth of information and advice about various topics.  You can also find further information about membership, should you wish to join the BMA.
